Curtains add a personal touch to your home at any time of year. They come in many different types to suit different needs. To help you find exactly what you're looking for, here's an overview of the different levels of light transmission:
Sheer:
Sheer curtains are made from a transparent fabric that does not provide privacy. They are perfect as a decorative element when combined with other curtains.
Light-filtering:
Light-filtering curtains allow daylight to pass through but block direct light, making them ideal for window decoration in multiple layers.
Opaque:
Opaque curtains effectively block direct light and provide privacy with their light blocking properties. However, they still allow some daylight to pass through, making them suitable for window decoration in multiple layers.
Dim-out:
Dim-out curtains effectively block out light and prevent external visibility, but do not provide complete darkness.
Blackout:
Blackout curtains effectively block out all outside light and create total darkness in the room.
